~You Time~

Good Morning,

 Recently I experienced a deep sense of exhaustion and fatigue. And as I finally decided to take a day off and do Nothing! I realized once again the great importance of taking time for oneself every now and then. As I rested, meditated and later napped the day away. I also felt healed and renewed, refreshed and reenergized for the movement to come.

I sense this issue within our culture, the issue of feeling guilt about resting. I'm not really sure where this guilt came from or why we beleived in it in the first place. But many of us have, haven't we? And it is hurting us, wearing us down mind, body, & emotions. And I have felt the powerful healing effects of simply BEING for a while each day. Weather it be 20 min, an hour or an entire dayof BEING. What matters most is the space for that beingness. The silence we connect to within us as we let go and allow.

I encourage each of you to connect within right now, take in a deep cleansing breath of life energy. And listen to the wisdom of your body, what is it in need of? Some TLC, maybe a little nap, a walk in nature, some play time? Learn to value your bodies wisdom and check in daily to see what it needs. This New habit will bennefit you in amazing and wonderful ways, just you watch~

Yoga it's a Journey

Good Morning everyone,

I have had many customers come in and ask what Yoga is all about. And why should one practice yoga? So I decided I would express a few points here in our blog. I hope this information is helpful and inspiring for each of you in your own personal yoga journey.

The word Yoga is classically translated to mean~"Union". And so in joining heart, mind & body we will find our true selves unified and whole, or Holy. As we practice aligning all parts of our self, we we feel a wholeness and optimal health as all parts work in harmony with each other.

I personally feel as we practice this with our own body, mind and spirit. We will learn compassion and eventually practice these same principles with others, therefore leading to a more harmonious connection with all living beings. And ultimately leading to a harmony on our planet, so you can see how powerful this practice can be for all.

The physical form of yoga we know of today is called Hatha Yoga. And many of these physical poses are much newer to the over 1,000 year practice of yoga. And as we humans evolve and grow our form of yoga will also evolve and grow to that which serves us in the most beneficial & fulfilling way.

There are many documented medical benefits of a regular practice of yoga. Here are a few, increased strength and stamina, increased muscular flexibility and tone, relief of stress and anxiety, and a lowering of blood pressure. Most students find they feel much better after experiencing a calming yoga class. The mind becomes quieter and more focused, the breath increases and the body relaxes.

So weather one is ready to heal an injury, increase their physical strength or flexibility, or just in need of a little inner calm and quiet, they will find the consistent practice of yoga to be very beneficial to the health and well being of their lives.

Try not to measure your level of success in yoga by how well you can hold a pose or how long, or even by which poses you can do. Rather measure your success by how much your enjoying the journey of yoga. How present are you with your breath, with your body's true needs? How calm and focused is your mind, do you feel an inner peace and joy? And are you honoring your body, mind and spirit?

Remember that as with all in life, the joy is in the journey, not the destination. So enjoy your yoga journey one breath at a time!

Permission to Rest

Good afternoon everyone,

Recently I was personally feeling pretty tired and low in energy. And as my family gathered around asking what I wanted to DO this particular day. I lay ed there and really felt myself, and paused before answering this simple question. As I felt my inner self I knew that what I desired to Do more than anything was absolutely NOTHING!

I didn't want to talk, or be spoken to, I didn't want to Go anywhere. I just needed time to BE! And as I expressed this truth those around me also let go of doing for the moment. we all just lay ed there and felt present, recharged and felt our breath. Often I feel many of us feel guilty for such pleasurable experiences. We feel we must constantly be DOING something to be worthy. Many students have expressed how guilty they feel to just relax.

So today allow me the opportunity to give each of you permission to relax. I can begin this but each of you must allow yourselves permission to relax and just BE. This is a gift that will fill you up and better prepare you for the activity that will certainly unfold in time. As we let go of doing we can better listen, feel and re charge. This is a very important part of life, a key ingredient to a happy and fulfilled life. And guess what, there will always be something to do. :)

So if you feel you must always be doing something, but in your inner self feel you could drop from how exhausted you are. Just pause and breath and just BE for a little while. This Being needs to become each of our primary states, and all the doing can flow from that space. As we shift our awareness to the importance of being. We will see and experience how all of our activity will improve and have a greater quality and essence to it.

So why not lay back, close your eyes take a deep breath and just BE!!! Your spirit will thank you~ Peace & Namaste, Yoga Momma :)

God Bless us Everyone!!! :)

So I am so very excited to share this Ahh Moment! Today while teaching morning Yoga I read a page from my Simple Abundance book. And it was all about blessings. It said that when you bless a thing it blesses you, and if you curse a thing you are cursed.

This got me thinking about the times someone hurts us or frustrates us. What do we choose to do, do we bless that person or situation? Or do we curse it and yell and scream? I myself as peaceful as I practice being, have had some cursing moments in my life. And I have felt the effects immediately in how drained I feel mind, body and soul.

And I have also experienced the effects of sending love and blessings to those that are sending fear and anger our way. And by far this is my preferred choice from this point on. So next time your partner is short or down right mean to you. Try and bless them, truly send them love and blessings. If your toddler creates a beautiful crayola creation on your living room wall, bless them. Someone just cut you off in traffic, And flipped you the bird! Ohh my, definitely bless them.

And why? Because that is what they need most. The fear is the illusion, the love is real! So bless everything, every flower, every tree, the Earth, our country. Remember when we used to proudly say "God Bless the USA!" Lets express and affirm this again and just see what changes transform and unfold. And maybe we could expand further and Bless the planet and all living beings.

So next time your frustrated with anything, too many bills? Bless each and every one even kiss them with lipstick if you want to add some flair. And truly ask that all those who are connected to that bill will be abundantly blessed. This is what our economy, our people and our world needs right now. Stop the flow of fear in its track and affirm loudly and passionately your blessings. And claim back your true power!

I challenge each of you reading this today, to bless everyone you can think of for the next week. At the end of that week, look into your life and how it is shifting. Then see if it is feeling more loving and blessed or not. What do you have to lose? Off all that icky fear and the suffering that come along with it, done!

And while your at this count your blessings, see how many things you can come up with and write down. As you do this feel the energy within you raising, and know that life is listening to that energy and responding accordingly. So get ready for more things to write down as life will bless you even more.

Healing Drumming Circle

Good Morning everyone,

I hope everyone reading this is keeping the faith and feeling the love within today. I know there seems to be allot of suffering out there in the world these days. And this too shall pass! I do believe that in my heart. I feel many are being offered a wonderful opportunity to grow and heal and transform for the better.

It may seem hard to keep the faith with all the fearful energy flowing around. Yet it is possible, and I assure each of you that peace and love are within each and everyone of us. All we must do to feel that peace and love is be present! To pause, breath and feel your energy your breath within. Really listen and tune into the silence, the non manifest, the unseen.

Now more than ever we are awakening to our powers of creation. And it seems many of us are manifesting faster than ever. What we are manifesting lies within those thoughts we hold, the words we speak and the actions we then take. So now more than ever it is important for us all to be accountable for our thoughts, words and actions. To be accountable for the energy we are putting out into the universe, and the energies we are contributing to.

We must quiet down and be present if we desire to co create with loving intentions for the good of all. We must feel our divine nature and love within us and remember who we really are. And in doing so allow that love to ignite our intentions with great power for the good of all life.

Yesterday we offered out first drumming healing circle, and it was beautiful. We came together for the sake of some fun drumming and community connection. And much more than drumming came up for many. We learned by sharing how many of us felt alone with our understanding and experiences with feeling energy. And as we shared we realized how similar our experiences were, and that we are not crazy!

YES!!! That is a relief. :) Seriously though, as we share openly with a safe group of people we can understand ourselves, as well as understand others better. Learning to read the energy around us and within us is a great and powerful tool. And learning to trust our intuition can serve us and others very well.

As we played our instruments and just relaxed into that vibration of beautiful calming energy. We relaxed in a deeper way and let go. It was playful, joyous and soothing and fun. And this play opened each of us up a little more.

Trust was the word that came up for everyone today. Learn to trust yourself, I have had this message come up for years during meditation. And everyday I am now trusting myself more and more. Often times I will receive an intuitive feeling or thought that is not logical. And when I trust it and check into it, there is always a reason. And of course being human there have been times I have ignored that inner voice and found out later that Man that would have been a good idea to trust my self!

So in expressing all that, I hope for each of you reading this great joy. I hope you will come join us with a fun drumming healing circle sometime. Bring your favorite instrument, drum along or a couple to share. And if not with us with yourself or someone you trust. I hope for all of us to heal and let go of fear and lack and suffering. And it is my hope that we will all realize the beauty of our own true nature of love. That we will give and share and love our selves and each other.That we will realize our energy and pwer come from within, and stop taking it from others. And that Love will prevail in claiming the attention of us all, as fear has had its time. Now is the time for LOVE, it is always the time for Love.

Be well my friends, shine your light on everyone you connect with today. Spread that compassionate love and share it with each other. We are all one, let us give to each as if we really believed that, let us love and respect ourselves fully so we can understand how to love another. It is Time, right NOW~ Many Blessings to each of you and all those you Love~

~The Art of focus~

Hello everyone,

Yoga Momma here, recently I have felt spirit gently guiding myself and others in the understanding of the Art of focus. And as we begin to hold our attention and focus on those energies, events and things we desire. They will begin to manifest more easily and effortlessly for us. Often times we are focusing on that which we do not desire, weather it be consciously or unconsciously.

As we begin to observe the creations that manifest for us when we hold these thoughts. We will awaken to our true powers in creation. As this unfolds within us we will begin to focus and hold our focus only on those things we do desire to create. It is very simple, as life has shown itself to be in truth. We just need to realize our true power and embrace it. It is also wise to listen to our scripts, what are we stating each day? Are we saying how hard life is, or how simple? Are we speaking of our health and good fortune, or of our sickness and lack?

My dear brother Kenny recently called me and told me a story about a friend of his. This friend from what I feel energetically is a very wealthy person both in financial wealth but also in spiritual wealth. Kenny shared with me how this friend has shown him the gift of sharing and giving. My brother would often show up at his friends home with a coffee for himself. And when his friend came to see my brother he would show up with 2 coffees and 2 snacks to share. My brother said "ohh you don't have to do that". His friend would reply, ohh don't worry I want to, I have abundance! My brother realized the teacher in his friend and took notice to how he lived.

His friend is very wise indeed, as he understands the power of his words and actions. He believes he has enough to share and so he gives form an open heart. In so doing he embraces the law of Abundance and invites more of it to his life experience. How differently would each of our lives be, If starting Now. We affirmed "I have abundance" And lived accordingly to that affirmation?

How much more would we share with others, how much more would we be focused on all the gifts and good we truly have now? And how much more would life energetically bring into out lives? This is a new approach I offer each of you. For the next week say out loud as you give a blessing, a prayer, and gift to everyone you interact with. "I have abundance" And I assure you as you keep the focus "This shall come to pass!" So inginte the Law of giving and receiving, by giving somehting to each person, event or situation you come in contact with. You will invite the energy of abundance into your own life, and in doing so will feel such inner joy and bliss.

What have you got to lose expect for negative affirmations, belief systems and suffering that are no longer serving us individually or as a whole. I share this wisdom with each of you from a space of Love and joy, because "I have abundance!" Be well my friends ~ Peace & Namaste Yoga Momma :)

Just BE!!!

So today as we opened up our hearts and breathed in the fullness of life. The spirit whispered gently to feel and honor the body above all else. My spirit nudged me gently in the most flowing and joyful direction through the breath. Breath in it whispered, & breath out...

And as I opened my eyes and look out at the beautiful students and spirits breathing in union with me. I felt love, I AM Love my spirit whispered, we all are. And that presence, that Beingness is primary. The doing, the action is secondary to that presence.

And this Love that I feel within, it is also within each of you reading this expression. You are so loved each of you, you Are LOVE!!!

Now take in a deep and full breath, give thanks for this gift. And BE the presence of Love in your own life. Allow this energy to once again guide you in body, mind and spirit! Be free again, just BE!
